Edge Textile Artists Scotland are a group dedicated to promoting excellence in contemporary Textile Art in Scotland. Members are drawn from all over Scotland and all have one thing in common, a desire to further textile art and embroidery and bring it to the widest audience possible. Exhibitions are usually held twice a year. This current exhibition was held in Dundee in 2019 prior to Covid and is based on the whaling industry dominant in Dundee and around the coastal towns of NE Scotland in the 19th Century.
Other works have now been added for this exhibition at the Harbour Cottage gallery in Kirkcudbright another town with a strong connection to the sea.
