Heather Davies
On the Kirkcudbright Print: I was inspired to paint the buildings and boats in Kirkcudbright harbour. It was painted with mixed media; a combination of Ink, Goache and Watercolour. Although it was painted recently it has a timeless quality and harks back to another age. It could be Kirkcudbright a century ago. I can imagine the everyday coming and goings of its people and the artists who were drawn to paint here.
I am very pleased with this image as I feel it has captured the essence of Kirkcudbright. It has given me pleasure painting this picture and I hope you will enjoy it too. It is printed with pigment inks, which have a light fast guarantee of 75 years. Printed on archival quality acid free textured paper.
I have been painting professionally for over 40 years.
Exhibitions include:
The Royal Watercolour Society
The Royal Scottish Watercolour Society
